Awesome blog

This is taken from another blog:

"You know when Mark Hominick TKO'd George Roop. Roop got back up and tried to congratulate Hominick. He was on wobbly legs and stumbled across the cage. If Paul Daley was in Hominick's position, he'd probably be a dick and sucker punch him like he did Koscheck."

LOOOOL. Keep on bloggin mate.

"Tried to congratulate"

this is so fuckin terrible it made me LOL.

BREAKING: Silva vs GSP could go down in 2011.

The Superfght between the top 2 pound for pound fighters could happen sooner than later... within 2011. Now both these fighters have a handful, Silva has Belfort, GSP has Sheilds. When Dana had a Q&A session with soldiers at Fort Hood yesterday, he was asked about GSP vs Silva. Dana White had this to say:

"If [St.Pierre and Silva win thier upcoming fights], then we're probably going to do that fight. I don't like guys fighting each other at different weights until they've done what those two have done, and they've both done it, Georges St-Pierre would move to 185 and stay at that weight and not go back to 170."

By the looks of it, Dana is serious. This could go down at UFC: Rio, or GSP might fight Fitch, and Silva could fight Okami, and It would put that fight in place for an early 2012 show... Possibly in Toronto. Lets hope this happens.

BIG NEWS!

An Interview with Alistair Overeem seems good to go. This will be MMAZone's first interview.

Guida vs Pettis set for Free TV

The highly anticipated UFC debut of Anthony "Showtime" Pettis is set... But not for PPV. For the TUF 13 Finale. Anthony Pettis was slated to face Clay Guida at UFC 131 in Vancouver, but instead will be held in Las Vegas. In a confrence call with Dana White, Dana announced the fight is set for June 4th. Pettis' Trainer made these comments:

"It's unfortunate he doesn't get the title shot, but Anthony is confident, and we as a team are confident in his skills, he's got a golden opportunity even with this situation. We're very fortunate that he's been put in the contender position, let alone a shot at the title. He's going to take advantage of the opportunity and run with it."

As for Guida, he is coming off 3 straight wins, and a 4th straight win all but seals him a title shot with the winner of Edgar/Maynard 3.

The 13th season should have some promising prospects, such as Karl Amoussou, Zak Cummings, and Andre Galvao, The finale should feature a top welterweight prospect.

FULL PREVIEW: UFC Fight for the Troops 2

Here is MMAZone's full preview of UFN 23.

MAIN CARD:
155: Evan Dunham vs Melvin Guillard
Both these men are coming off spectacular preformances at UFC 119. Evan Dunham was robbed by the judges, but that doesnt take away from his talent... 4 people have defeated Sean Sherk... BJ Penn, Frankie Edgar, Matt Hughes (In his prime) and GSP. Evan Dunham sure has an amazing future to be in with that crowd. But with that being said, he still isnt ready for Edgar or Maynard. Kenny Florian would have been a sick fight, but Kenflo is out, so enter Melvin Guillard. The young assasin is looking more dangerous since he has started training with Greg Jackson. He is coming off 3 straight wins, which should mean Dunham will get another tough test at FFTT2. Expect this fight to be a mix of grappling and standup, and they are both good at it, and I would expect a desicion. My pick is EVAN DUNHAM (SD).

265: Matt Mitrione vs Tim Hauge
Tim "7-second" Hauge makes his return to the octagon, and is somehow co-main eventing a show. Lets get the facts- Tim Hauge has lost 3 straight in the Octagon. One of thoes loses is Joey Beltran. Hauge's opponent has already beat Joey Beltran. Expect Mitrione to GnP his way to victory. It would be a massive upset if Hauge pulls it off. My pick is MATT MITRIONE (TKO- Round 1).

145: Mark Hominick vs George Roop
If Roop didnt KTFO of Jung, I wonder if he would be fighting to be the #1 contender? Or I wonder if Dana is just setting up Hominick for Aldo in Toronto. Its probably gonna be a toe to toe match, and I doubt lightning will strike twice for Roop. My Pick is MARK HOMINICK (KO- Round 2)

265: Pat Barry vs Joey Beltran
Pat Barry looks like the favorite because he has been in a co-main event on a PPV, and has fought Cro Cop, but... He has only beat Antoni Hardonk, and has LOST to Tim Hauge. Beltran has actually beat Hauge, so Im gonna go with JOEY BELTRAN (UD)

155: Cole Miller vs Matt Wiman
Cole Miller has been on a role, and Matt Wiman is starting to get on a role. Wiman won via robbery stoppage at UFC 115, and Cole Miller is coming off a win against Ross Pearson at UFN 22. Both wins were by submission, and I would be suprised if these guys wanted to trade. Theyll go to the comfort zone (the ground), and see who squeaks out a choke or joint lock. My pick is COLE MILLER (Arm-triangle choke- Round 2)

To be continued...

This is great.

"DIE DIE DIE DIE!!!"

Miller is a genious.

Another Strikeforce fighter calls out a UFC Champion

Gilbert Melendez (Who is in Nick Diaz's camp), Called out Gray Maynard and Edgar, claiming they should fight him... get this... in a strikeforce cage. Now heres a guy who needs to have a rubber match with Josh Thomson, calling out a UFC champion and a close #2. Now, where do these guys get the notion Strikeforce has surpassed UFC as the #1 MMA Organization? They get 200,000 viewers an event... UFC gets more than 5x more viewers on PPV.

Now I dont know whats going on, but damn theres some magical shit that can be smoked a Cesar Gracie jiu-jistu.

Lastly... the quote:

I think I already fought the best. And some of the best in the UFC, it's not like those guys are anything special or more special than the guys I have already beat. It just happens they're in the UFC which is a popular organization. To be honest, these guys need to come fight me. Who are they to say I should go there. I have been in the sport longer than any of these guys: than Frankie Edgar... Gray Maynard. I won in Japan against fifty thousand people booing me. I have traveled; these guys have never fought internationally. Those guys need to come over here and fight me. I am the guy to beat. They're not the guys to beat. It just so happens they are under the UFC banner, so they get a little bit more love because of that. I think I am number one in the world and I will prove it in Strikeforce or wherever. It's not like the tough guys are in the UFC, it's just that they haven't been able to fight me because they have been in that organization. I have taken out anyone that is tough, top ten, outside of the UFC. Clay Guida is a guy out there doing really well and I smashed that guy for five, five-minute rounds.

*coocoo!* *coocoo!* *coocoo!*

Nick Diaz calls out GSP/Silva, Ducks Mayhem after signing extension

Does this sum up Nick Diaz's maturity or what?
You can see a few posts down, Nick Diaz whined about how he is not getting payed millions to fight in strikeforce, is now saying he could beat GSP and Silva. yet he is ducking Mayhem Miller.

You have to ask, what the fuck has he been smoking today? I want to know atleast his dealers number.

If I could tell Nick Diaz one thing... Actions speak louder than words, Nick.

Your WORDS: "I can beat the #1 and #2 P4P fighters in the world, who are in the UFC."
Your ACTIONS: Sign an extension with strikeforce, and duck Mayhem Miller.

Sherk re-injured, Expected to miss months.

The Muscle Shark, Sean Sherk, who is coming off a robbery win over Evan Dunham at UFC 119, will have to rehab efore re-entering the octagon. "All those injuries that I had to rehab, they came back. So now I need to get them dealt with again." Sherk said. Sherk also went on to say "I'm not going to lie; I'm not getting any younger, unfortunately. So my injuries are just something that needs to be dealt with properly. I don't want to destroy my legacy. It's not worth it."

Sherk hasnt ruled out retiring, but it is unlikely he will. Sherk is 36-4-1. His 4 official losses have been to Georges St. Pierre, BJ Penn, Matt Hughes, and Frankie Edgar... who have all been UFC Champions, and have a combined record of 23-9-2 in Championship fights... 18-4-1 if you take out BJ Penn's 5-5-1 record. Hopefully we will see the former lightweight Champion back in the Octagon soon.

MMA Junkie... MMA Fighting... FIGHT!... and... TMZ?

You have gotta be shitting me.
TMZ caught up with Dana White, and asked him how "Valesquez" (V(al)- es- kes)... or "Vasquez"... or simply Cain is doing.

Dana replied, saying he is doing fine.

OK... dumb question. cant get much worse, right?

"Will women ever fight in the UFC?"

youre shitting me TMZ reporter. Stick to hollywood shit.

Fuck it amazes me what people do in an interview.

Chael Sonnen breaks silence, But wont talk UFC.

Chael Sonnen was spotted this week, but was interviewed about amatuer wrestling, and his involvment in coaching it.

Sonnen still faces Money Laundering charges, and is to be sentenced in March (to most likely 2 years probabtion).

UFC Live 3: Hendricks vs Thiago in the works

Paulo Thiago is expected to make his return against young gun Johny Hendricks at UFC Live 3, in Louisville, Kentucky.

Thiago, who is coming off 2 straight loses, against the two men in the main event of UFC Live 3, that being Martin Kampmann, and most recently against Diego Sanchez at UFC 121. Thiago will look to bounce back into welterweight contention against rising star Johny Hendricks.

Hendricks, who is only 27, Is 9-1, and is coming off a loss against another rising star, Rick Story, at the TUF 12 Finale in December.

Nick Diaz will fight Mayhem Miller at any weight- But not at any price

Nick Diaz and Jason "Mayhem" Miller are known for thier back and forth smack talk. Mayhem is simply Mayhem, while making fun of Diaz. Nick Diaz is known for going on his "Gangster" tirades, talking about how he is more gangster than Miller, and could beat him in the cage.

Diaz has his hands busy with "Cyborg" (why cant Strikeforce get some fucking real event names.)... Then Paul Daley is most likely next. But he says he wants to fight Miller. He will fight him at any weight.. But not any price. Check this tirade out:

"I never didn't want to sign for that fight with Miller," he said. "They were talking about making me move weight. I said, 'Tell his ass to get in fucking shape like I do.' It's fucking hard enough for me to make 170 pounds. And he acted like he wouldn't be able to do it. He doesn't want to work hard like me. That's the problem. So he can work his ass off and make 170 pounds or 175 pounds. Or somebody could pay me a couple of fucking million dollars and I'll move up to 185 pounds and fight him.

"Or, he could quit getting slapped in public. I know somebody has got that shit on videotape. That motherfucker doesn't want to fight me, talking about how he wants to fight me every chance he gets and he told the media. I'll fight at any weight. I'll fight at 185 pounds. I'd like to get paid. Pacquiao is making 40 fucking million dollars; GSP is making a couple of million dollars. I'm over here driving a fucking Honda because my shit is breaking down. Fuck all you motherfuckers!"

I am missing a point here Diaz... Why are you bitching about your car? if you want to kick someone's ass, sign the fight, and beat him. Also, he should take into consideration that Strikeforce doenst pay athletes millions of dollars. And the majority of GSP and Pacquiao's money come from Endorsments. Diaz isnt gonna get more than $200,00 grand to fight Miller. Look what happed with M-1's affliction. How did the do when they payed Arlovski and Sylvia a combined 2.3 million to fight Fedor? yeah. Lastly, this gives me a notion that He is a hypocrite. He called out GSP, saying GSP isnt "down to fight him"... But youre not down for Mayhem.

But for now, he should focus on "Cyborg", and then get it going with Miller.

Jose Aldo set to fight at UFC 129 in Toronto

With stacked Cards like UFC 126 and UFC 130, people are wondering why "The biggest show ever" is not as stacked.

Well, It just got a little bit bigger.

UFC Featherweight Champion Jose Aldo will make his UFC Debut on April 30th, infront of an estimated 50,00 fans at Toronto's Rogers Centre. Aldo, who is 18-1 will fight Canadian Mark Hominick, who trains 3 hours outside of Toronto, In London, Ontario, unless George Roop upsets the Canuck. Aldo is coming off Wins over Manvel Gamburyan and Urijah Faber, improving his record to 18-1, making him a top 3 P4P fighter.

The UFC didnt stop there- 6 other fights were officially announced for UFC 129. A much anticipated bout between undefeated phenom Phil Davis, and rising star Matt Hamill has been announced for UFC 129. Davis is 8-0, while Hamill is 10-2, with his only 2 losses being to Rich Franklin and Michael Bisping. Hamill holds a notable win over Jon Jones, although it is highly disputed.
